BIO
I'm a fantasy and science fiction writer by trade, with a Masters degree in Biology. I dabble in art as a means of relaxing, and as part of developing my characters. As a result, the vast majority of my images have something to do with my writing. My first novel, Winter's Orphans, won an Eppie award and a Dream Realm Award for Best Fantasy Novel. Since then, I've gone on to publish a bunch more stuff. If you'd like to check out my books, including free stuff, you can do so here: http://www.onecrow.net/Books.htm

I like them both a lot. But I really like the one on the left. Great concept, beautiful! Remind me in January 2010, I'd like to see it and read it :)

I prefer the one on the left as well

Super cool.

Great images. I like both, but the one on the left is what I would pick. Has a feeling of mystery, you can see the tentacles in the background, but you don't know if she is in danger or she is the danger. Excellent

Thanks for the help everyone; so far it looks like the image on the left is winning!

I prefer the one with the tentacles out her back. Nice work.

Both are great! I can why you are having trouble. If I had to choose, I'd choose the one on the left, the portrait.

I like the left one personally. Great work!

I get one, right? :-D I would say for mailing distribution, go with the one that is just the head. They are both gorgeous and I am so looking forward to this web comic. My personal preference is the head, too, it allows greater detail, her hair has the swirling tentacle aspect that is matched by the subtle tentacles in the bottom left. Sorry I missed this - not checking my rendo mail very much. Argh...just read Louly's comment...I have to wait til Jan 2010? I know you have advance copies of issues...because you're smart and tricky and you'll want several months done in advance, just as you did in writing Exile's Burn...so...you know...encrypted files to my mailbox that self-destruct after 7 days, okay?
