Description

I actually came up with the concept idea for the SWORD fighter you have been seeing pictures of all week before I came up with the name for it. I knew what qualitites I wanted to build into it, but had no idea what to call it until I realised what its SECOND propulsion system would allow it to be able to do. Most modern fighters have jet engines for propulsion and missiles and cannons for long, medium and short range attack and defence. The question I asked myself was if you use all your missiles, and the shells for the cannons, how could you continue to fly and fight in he combat zone for a short period of time? The answer was to give the fighter a second means of propulsion which would not only allow it to continue to fly, but also allow it to fight in an offensive and defensive manner all at the same time. This the story:- Out of missiles, cannon shells used up, our pilot switches to the ultimate means of flight, attack and defence as a means of continuing the fight. Pushing down on the white button on the left-hand side of the pilots control column she immediately disengages the two wing mounted jet engines, pushing up on the red button on the right hand side of the pilots control column she immediately engages the single huge rocket engine at the rear of the craft immediately propelling it to twice the speed the two jet engines allow in normal flight. Diving between the two J-29 target drone's, the resultant energy wave which follows the Vortex fighter quite literally rips the target planes apart and allows it to outfly any fighters which are able to pursue it, and out run any missles and shells which are fired at it. The name for this means of flight, attack and defence is:- The VOTEX BLASTER

It's also called,"Supersonic Flight" lolol. Really nice destruction of the drones. Weird looking smoke rings from the light-up of the rocket. The rocket wouldn't really allow for for combat, but would be useful in escape and evasion. Good idea for keeping the pilot alive, if he can handle the gees.
