Description
A Kawanishi N1K2-J Fighter.
My first aircraft model :-)
Modelled with Rhino3D, rendered with Cinema4D an postproduction with Gimp.
I wanted to see how I can model an aircraft and decided to make an japanese one, because there are tons of brit, german an us aircrafts out there. It was my first UV-mapping, thanks to bazze's quick and dirty how-to on UV-mapping with Cinema. It's a beast, it's erronous, but now it works. Modelling was quite easy. To paint a realistic texture was the greater challenge. I hope it works so far. The model ist not perfect, but hey, it was my first an it works for me.

It renders up great. I really like your panel lines that texture looks really good. a very nice job indeed.

Outstanding job! The George is one of my favorites. As a side note, Japanese under surfaces were quite often (not always) simply unpainted.

Welcome aboard, superb first model. The more flying meatballs you do, the bigger you're following will become. As you rightly say, Japanese aircraft production is slow round here.
