Description

You like potato and I like potahto How is everyone, just playing with a picture, hope you like. I did make it to the Mabry Mill yesterday, beautiful place beautiful drive, took me right at 4 hours to get there. I was talking to someone there that was also taking photos, and he asked if I had seen the mill in the fall as I said no this is my first visit, and he said oh I've been here for every season but winter, and I told him well its a four hour drive for me, and he said you drove four hours just to come here, and I said yes I sure did, and he said well I would have done exactly the same thing. And to me it was well worth it, and I will post some of them very soon. My Home Town: thumb_1882997.jpg

It looks like you stopped for refreshments on the way, or did you run out of M&M's? I love the vibrant colours of this beautiful capture. They look very tempting.

it's a lot of fun, all that red in a picture that's partly de-saturated. And the red really stands out vividly. But you're also doing little subtle things—allowing some green, some amber, some bananas showing up full-color (lol) and even the little hanging flower pot in full color. You gave full voice to certain chosen items! But you have to know, the composition and variety of the shot is marvelous, color schemes or no; in fact this would make a nice B&W shot, because the variety of textures & shapes can sing well with the eloquence of black, white and grays. Anyway you do it, the massing of barrels & beams, etc., is fine. I remember this when you posted it, and I'll end with it tonight because I liked it as soon as I saw it and like it every bit as much now. So nice to be walking here once again!
