Description

These towers are each six hundred eighty three meters high, with thousands of inhabitants. The towers make it worth living on the distant planet, which has an atmosphere not entirely suited for the colonists. In the big ball is a nice park and of course there are holo suites. Please ignore this information, this work purely mended to be aesthetic. But I like to dream I live there for a time. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you very much for the enthusiastic response on the still life! I still want to say something about my work Planet of crystal creatures, about the air ship. Someone wrote it is not SF because of the airship, another liked my work very much â?? thanks, NobasaurUS, for the enthusiast affirmation â?? and wrote about the old and the new. But this is not really through. Air ships are still in use these days, although they are not used for passengers anymore. There is a lot to find on internet regarding air ships and I found fourteen different tasks of which air ships are useful or even irreplaceable. One of them is for operations on the poles, where the weather is to cold for helicopters and there is often no landing place. There exists even a firm called Zeppelin! The history of passenger transportation ended before world war two with the disaster of the Hindenburg at the moment of landing, a lot of people died as a result of panic. About that subject there is also a lot tot find on internet. I studied the subject because my second SF novel Fenrir begins with a virtual reconstruction of the disaster â?? available on internet at www.unibook.com but only in Dutch I am afraid. Personally I believe it was a sabotage for different reasons: for example because the bomb was predicted in a letter send to the Zeppelin Company. The main suspects were named Eric Spehl and Joseph Spah. The customers could have been many: Hitler, because Zeppelin refused to call the ship The Hitler â?? he hated Hitler; the airplane companies because they couldnâ??t mach the air ships which where more cost-effective, the CIA for politic reasons because the air ship was a symbol for Germany, and so on. The CIA made a rapport very soon after the accident to prove it was an accident, all their arguments where easily contradicted by Zeppelin. However, the real reason the air ships ended as passenger transportation was that Germany lost the war â?? happily, I hate dictators. About my SF: my planet of crystal creatures has an atmosphere with a lot of helium â?? we can breath in this atmosphere but it changes the sounds. The air ship is not much bigger than the cabin and the coating when transported in a space craft, but in the atmosphere the air ship sucks the helium out of the atmosphere and blows itself up. That takes some time, but the passengers who paid for a visit to a planet at a nearby sun, have a lot of time anyway. moat

Beautiful image Moat and fascinating information about airships....I am a huge science and science fiction fan so I already knew a lot about airships when I said a combination of old and new...I meant the idea of an airship would be an old one for a futuristic setting.... Not that there was no use for them in the future.... Quite the contrary!!!!!! Some spaceships have been proposed that are inflatable as well!!!!!!!! Instead of being full of gas they are filled with water which in turn freezes... Making a solid ship..... Also a good way of bringing lots amounts of water with the space traveler and for shielding purposes......I still love your original render and this one as well!!! I think yor work is fantastic and woud love to read your story and see all your illustrations!!!!! No one can tell you what is right for your vision....just have as much fun as I do enjoying your work and you won't even care waht people say...lol...Happy creating!!!!!!!
