Description

Mabry Mill is located on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd Country, Virginia. Built in 1905. It is a beautiful location that has been photographed and painted many times. The Mill is restored and it includes the mill/sawmill, and woodworking shop and blacksmith shop. I hope you enjoy, it was a beautiful drive out there and I hope to go back out in the fall and see it with all the autumn colors surrounding it. You say Tomato, I say Tomahto

Reminds me of growing up in New England. Looking forward to the foliage pictures come fall. Don't get to see that any more. Currently live in a mediterranean climate. Great photo!

the angle is really fine for the structure, and a lot of other people liked this shot, I can see. The angle allows us to see the structure push forward into our view, while it also recedes back delicately into the wooded area behind it. Nice too that you included so much sky: With all those trees we can forget there's really sky up there. A nice hue, and a gentle and thoughtful capture. I can see why you got so many replies.
