WOW these are still being made? I remember them, a thin piece of paper would stay on the candy and you would have to spit that out. Great shot, thanks for the memory.

This is terrific, very colorful, super cute and funny Cynthia. An outstanding capture. This turned out great. I love simple and sweet. Truly cracks me up. Really farout image. Huggs... Silkylady...

There is an on-line, old fashioned candy shop that I often buy from - treats from when I was going up (remember Black Jack Gum? Fizzies? Bite-size Peanut Butter Bars? etc.) and I bought some of the buttons like this for my grand kids. Boy, I used to love this stuff and it was only a nickle for a HUGE roll! Those grand kids tried it and refused to eat it. Said it was tasteless and they kept getting paper in their mouths! Spoiled kids, I say! They want sour stuff that is way too strong and so what's a little paper, or wax or whatever when it is sweet and you can afford to buy it with your allowance...or is that it? Do kids get an allowance these days???

Add me to the list of people who haven't seen these things in a long time; like others, I didn't know they still were around. I also had trouble getting them off without the paper joining the candy.
