Description

This is a render that is a long time coming between making and posting. Only thing that bothers me is the position of the USAF marking on the wing. I spent four years in the Air Force and it was vertically the opposite way. Maybe they changed things or I am starting to forget things, or PoserWorks made a mistake. At any rate, it is an excellent model, posable inside and out, at a very reasonable price for the quality of the modeling. What I wish is that they had created a WW2 Army olive green and a later USAF silver finished with the white roof line as well. Thanks for all the comments and visits. Jeremy CREDITS: Bryce 6.1, Poser 6.0. Buildings: from "Desert Construction Kit" by Allen Morrison (DAZ). Aircraft: "WW2 C47 Dakota" by PoserWorks (Content Paradise). Terrains: These are some of my South Polar Martian terrains that I made in Bryce Terrain editor from NASA photos. I then "Earthized" them, using a texture by Jonathan Allen.

I've made a lot of plastic models in my time and the first thing I say was the marking - it kind of jarred. Anyway, a great presentation, Jeremy, and as you say, it looks to be a good model. I'm sure someone could do you the extra textures, too.

Yep, your memory is fine and the model is flawed. Oh well. Nice job anyway.

Well, even if the markings are wrong, it's a great image for sure!

It's a fine looking picture! The markings....well who knows? So many were used! But the one thing that jolted me straight away I'm afraid, was the shape of the Dak. It's wrong. Body not 'Bulky enough' and wings too long. Check my Dak posts for shape. Or other peoples. But as a whole, especially the mountains etc, it's fabulous! Rob.
