Description
I haven't posted a Bryce image in a while. I thought I would upload something I have been working with off and on for a while. Achieving realistic water effects in Bryce has been a personal challenge.
What do you think so far? Don't expect a finished image overnight though. This was rendered at 1080 X 810 as a test render but it still took 16+ hours on my quad processor PC.
The only post work here is the signature,I brushed over a line where two terrains met, and I blurred the background some for depth effect.
Thanks for viewing and have a great day.

Self-shadows on the buoy seem to be turned off... 16 hours on a quad-core? Brutal! You have more patience than I! I like your water, the further water is especially convincing for Bryce. But foam and spray around the buoy, which right now appears entirely dry, could use some work.

You have certainly given a great sense of motion here with the roiling sea swirling around the buoy, Willie. Very well done.

Brave Man Willie...the power of the PC matches the power of the image...Oh! and the power of your patience!!!!! Long time no talk, but I have been waiting for something special...this is it! Love and Light to you and your Family! Alan.

Great work! The water motion is terrific. I would only comment that you seem to be depicting a red, right-hand channel marker buoy, which would have a red, not green light. On Renderosity, however I did manage to navigate around it without going aground...yet! Ha ha!

the water has a degree of turbulance and the distance blur is good
