Description
Some friends were cleaning up a place they were renting, getting it ready to move in, when I snapped this shot.
It Stood There Alone . . .
It stood there alone,
A monument to the bygone.
A solitary statue, it filled
A lifetime of memories to flood.
The old pump handle raised,
As if to say, "Come round once more,
A bucket, a cool head, a single drink
Or a water fight. One pump more . . ."

Great old shot! I have one in my backyard that needs repaired. Always water with it! Even when electric power is down!
