BobbyStahr aka Robert Purves was seduced into computers late in life(age 45) by a free Amiga 1000 that I needed to transcribe music with. When that was done one thing led to another and 18 months later due to a need for speed and Imagine porting over I jumped to a pc. Never looked back happy to say. I play no games, have no business software, just art and music. BIO I use Imagine a lot, Photoshop quite a bit, Vue6I PLE a bit also, and have played a bit with the free ver. of Cinema4D, and am recently enamored of the new TG 3 Free. I also write copious amounts of music in an awesome and inexpensive music writing software called MelodyAssistant, available at http://www.myriad-online.com The hyphen is part of the URL. Highly reccomended to anyone, musician or not. I got into art from sports at an early age when I discovered I was more into cooperation than competition...my mission statement is" Never go straight.....Go Forward...."

Humm, I have to say bobby, those two last landscapes look very very good. These landscape "a la Bryce" have very impressive volumetrics. You should try to put the picture in the Bryce gallery to see if the folks there remark something. I am sure that they will say "looks better than usual, donno why". Is it Raytraced ? how long to render ? great job anyway. And the last picture, the zmeshed landscape, It's very original and promissing.

Yeah,...I know what ya mean"a la bryce". after buyin their bryce2,at full price, and not winding up with a working program,I made up my mind t do it all in Imagine, tho I did up grade to 3D as they had volumetrics first i think.actually i'm more influenced by the way terragen makes scapes and i think this is the quality you notice.yes to the trace....AASky for the skydome as well, and i used ABFakley on the water set to reflect...full front, none side, sorta works...an old tip from the list..Overnite on the render time, thanx for the input man...
