Description

Hello! This is the second time I try to paint this rose. This will have to do. Just a watercolor. Thank you so much for your kind comments to my previous post and special warm thanks to those who added it as fav. I am very honoured :-) Have a wonderful day. Seems that it will be a lovely light day with only a thin layer of clouds on the sky. I am working on an acryllic abstract and it looks yuckky so far. :/

(As you can see, I'm commenting on selected pieces, since I can't cover everything I missed. But also because you know how I feel on everyone of these already! You got the 'previews', lol!) I couldn't go without commenting on this: I'm still learning from it. You capture the contour of the petals so simply, there's a simplicity and unassuming ease to your watercolor work that knocks me out. And you intensify your hues around the edges beautifully too. Your reds, as they move towards the edges, become almost crimsons. They're very intense. A beautiful solo painting of a rosebud, nicely surrounded by a misty cloud of light blue, and placed on the open paper with no interference. It's beautiful helle, one of my favorite of your watercolors, and you know how much I love your watercolors!
