Description

Mistress Mary, Quite contrary,/How does your garden grow?/With Silver Bells, And Cockle Shells,/And so my garden grows.[The oldest version of an English nursery rhyme, 1744] The Secret Garden is also an immensely famous novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The book was first published in its entirety in 1911, and it was adapted for cinema and TV. Secret Garden is also a song by Bruce Springsteen: She'll let you in her house if you come knocki' late at night/She'll let you in her mouth if the words you say are right/If you pay the price she'll let you deep inside/But there's a secret garden she hides/She'll let you in her car to go drivin' round/She'll let you into the parts of herself that'll bring you down/She'll let you in her heart If you got a hammer and a vice/But into her secret garden don't think twice/You've gone a million miles how far'd you get/to that place where you can't remember and you can't forget/She'll lead you down a path there'll be tenderness in the air/She'll let you come just far enough so you know she's really here/Then she'll look at you and smile and her eyes will say/She's got a secret garden where /everything you want/Where everything you need/Will always stay a million miles away. The Secret Garden is the second garden of the San Pelagio Castle villa. It was once used by the family to receive close friends, and to grow aromatic plants for fine cooking. The garden is surrounded over three out of four sides by a boundary wall. I added some postwork to re-create the mood ;D). Thank you for your kind comments.

Very nicely done. For some reason the old 1949 MGM movie, "The Secret Garden", always comes to mind when I see a title like yours today. Like your postwork. Unusual as it may be, I've never been a big Springsteen fan (omission, not commission) so these words were a fresh read for me...cool.
