and you've transformed the weeds into an old photograph, even etching, or something done on a metal plate (copper, silver) or something printed on old paper which has aged & decayed a bit. In addition to the wonderful crackling and 'peeling' of the background, you have occasional blue spots, like spillage that accumulated over the years. And the grasses themselves have a quiet luminosity. You've created a period piece, and it has the feeling of something precious and intimate and very private. Old curled photographic prints...beautiful as always.

LOL, that was the message on my telephone's answering machine for awhile, "we are busy watching the grass grow, we will return your call as soon as we can". This grass looks like there is wheat growing with it! Wonderful in black and white
