My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

How funny, I have almost exactly the same shot in my recent files...I think the same thing, though perhaps a bit more lewd since flowers tend to involve mobile critters in their reproductive affairs. Great work on this though, the pollen is sharp and easily seen, the colors are subtle but distinct. This is an all-around great shot!

Wonderful use of lighting, maybe the reason why bees can not resist landing.

I forgot about this! It reminds me that you capture flowers without regard for making them 'pretty', but to capture their personality, their light, their furrows, their nature, each one a different portrait. I remember this one because it glowed, because it fanned out like it were presenting itself to us (which makes me realize for the first time that you do "flower portraits" as if you captured them in a studio, not for commercial purposes but for art purposes; this flower has a personality & you got it "on film," a genuine portrait in my eyes—that's a compliment, not a comparison to commercial portrait houses). And also, the silken texture of the outer petals, and the sense of light lurking behind them. (Something to do with the separation between petal above & petal below.) A beautiful shot, and about as close to a flower "looking" at us as one can get in a picture. beautiful.
