Those are flat terrains in Vue with one click of the "mesa" button. The material is also called "mesa", I think. I put a low, thin yellowish cloud right at ground level to simulate some dust in the wind. It turned out alright. Well, more accurately it turned out as I expected it to. Not necessarily right, mind you. :)
