After 21 years of smooth jazz, WNUA 95.5 FM in Chicago went off the air this morning with a sendoff from Ramsey Lewis and Karen Williams. I listened on and off for those 21 years, and there have been a lot of great music in that time: Ramsey Lewis, the late Waymond Tisdale, David Sandborn, Kenny G, Dave Koz, Kurt Whalum, Pat Metheny, and the list goes on. I don't know what Clear Channel thought it was doing, but that's a story for another time. Thank you WNUA for the memories past and what should have been future ones.
