Description

A real photograph of the old district of my hometown with a definitely 'comics' feel to it, intended as a reminder of the works of Jacques Tardi, a French comic strip artist known for his meticulous clear line style and creator of a series called 'Adèle Blanc-Sec', set in the Paris of early 20th century where the moody heroine encounters supernatural events, state plots, occult societies and experiments in cryogenics. Hope you will like it, as much as I enjoyed working on this image.

Une véritable photo du vieux quartier du centre de Belfort, traitée façon bandes dessinées, en souvenir de Jacques Tardi, le créateur d'Adèle Blanc-Sec, une série se déroulant dans le Paris des années 1920, où l'héroïne fait face à des événements surnaturels, des complots politiques, des sociétés secrètes et autres expériences en cryogénie! J'espère que vous aimerez, autant que j'ai pris du plaisir à travailler cette photo.

Fantastic postwork! Beautiful results! Did you know that there are to be English versions of some of his works? They are to be published this year and may already be out. As much as I love to read, comics are still my favorite, and now I can say I am reading them for the art work, LOL!
