There is a theory that low light reading strengthens the eyes rather than weaken them as was once thought. I don't know if that's true but the low light here strengthens the image. Marvelous shot.

This is a haunting and moody shot for sure. I don't know why, but it reminds me of a painting, and I think that it's because of your use of light and color and shadow to bring attention to your subject. There's a great sense of sensitivity to this that I love, and the sense of intimacy is well presented also. Great work, and I'm glad I saw it.
