Description

The German PAK 40 gun crew never saw the troops sliding along the wall in the light of the burning buildings. Now it is too late. Trying a little experiment with the lighting. Thanks for viewing and I appreciate all your comments.

Nice scene. Thelighting on the wall looks good for fire. The rest of the scene seems to evenly lit even though it probably would be quite bright with the full moon, I think a bit of fudging with more more smoke or heave haze and patches of darkness to obscure the background sky and house a bit in places would add drama.

Great scene, Dave. Have to agree the lighting is too even in the right half. But how to change that is way beyond me.

"Hey Fritz, what is this thing?" "Hans, get rid of that, its a ..." BOOM!!! I agree with everything 'Shadownet' (Rob) said about your lighting and double on the smoke for the battlefield. Your scene composition and poses are excellent; now all you need to work on is the lights (something I'm still working on, also). A little more dramatic framing might help, too, like getting the camera closer to the GIs to show it more from their perspective. Great looking picture, and a perfect subject for the Memorial Day weekend.

Could have used a bit of shadowing in this image. But nicely done. as for the grenade, that's gonna leave a mark or two...
