Description
Evening all :o)
If things are not bad enough my Aunt passed away this morning .She was my Dads Sister and now that generations gone we move slowly up the ladder ,makes you realise we`re not gonna live forever .I`ll be off to London later in the week for the funeral .It seems as though the family only gets together for Weddings and Funerals and now its mainly Funerals .
This swan is one of over fifty living on the River Tees in Stockton.Sorry but I have no imaginative titles today :o)..
Thanks for taking a look and take care
Mick

I'm sorry for the death of your aunt, Mick! Unfortunately it's true, with the relatives we meet especially at the funerals! You made me remember that I have to go to visit the sister of my mother... she is still alive and is 95 years. Hugs mc

I lost all my family - the last being at the age of 45 and I realized then that I was the oldest surviving member of my family except for a dozen cousins that disappeared from the radar about 25 years ago. Its touch not having anyone to talk to about things you remember... things someone else could laugh, cry or muse over and know the moment you speak of. I am so sorry. This swan is a gentle reminder of all that is beautiful.

I have no aunts or uncles left and it's a great loss. Thank god I still have my brothers and sisters; there are 5 of us and we stay in pretty close contact. Take care, Mick, and your swan speaks for himself!!

Being a Mills means a big family here in Lancashire Mick, and like you it seemed that we only got together for weddings and funerals. So one of my cousins decided to have a get together just for the hell of it and organised a big do and took over the Sailing club house for the night, about 250 showed up on the night and about that many stayed away. One heck of a night though. Sorry for your loss mate, but like you say it comes to us all. Organise a party sometime. Excellent capture of the Swan, I love it when they furl their feathers like that. Looking at the neck it looks like one of last years cygnets maybe and not yet found a mate, he's going to be a beauty. Bravo!!!!!

Sorry mate, to hear of the loss of your Aunt, I only have one 80-odd year-old Aunt left and then it will be our generation (me, my brother and sister) I never see the few cousins I have and I've only seen my sister once in the last 6 years. Nice Swan capture Mick, they always look so Regal. hang on in there mate!
