Tom and I were discussing this capture tonight and it occured to both of us this image is some how a representitive statement of whats wrong with this world today that were not respecting nature and our surrounding enviroment and this simple bird is asking us to stop. When I took this shot ..it was my sole intent on getting the pic of the red winged black bird , I didn't know I would discover this photo ..I didn't realize until I posted it that the 3 elements made a statement. The 3 elements meaning ..the head covered , bullet holes and the word STOP!

This is great for all the reasons discussed above. That's a very neat thing about photography...often times there's more to it than even you see when you take the picture. I recall Tom saying this phenomena even shows up in an oil painting the day after it is painted. Nicely done.

Who could possibly be at the top of a stop sign to shoot at other than birds, hope he wasn't the target.
