Description

Most of you probably know by now that me and JeffG7BRJ went to the War-Weekend at the East Lancs Railway yesterday. Although we knew they were to have this Dakota Fly past, it surprised us both by coming from an unexpected direction lol. I took quite a few shots but most were directly above which didn't show off its markings very well. This is probably the best one I got!

That's one striking looking warbird! Great photo, especially in light of your being surprised.

Those of us who look at lots of airplane photos have seen the standard shots often. This has a uniqueness to it that makes it even more interesting. A model maker will like this as it even shows where to paint the oil streaks:)

You have captured the texture in the paint work very well. It's a great clear shot. At first, because of the cleanness of the image, I thought it was some sort of rendered shot. Brilliant capture.

I was so suprised I have deleted my shots Alan, this one is a fantastic capture, and super postwork. I had turned my camera off and by the time it had initalised the aircraft was going over the trees, one shot only had trees and sky in it. Lol. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

The BBMF Dakota does have a habit of appearing from odd angles! I was at the Stamford Car Show and it did the same thing. AND I had an ice cream in my hand. Have you ever eating a whole Ice Cream in one go? Fabulous shot and it looks like you had a glorious day too. Rob.
