Hello !
Last spring I posted a macro of white lilac.
Now I have tried for the first time with Masking Fluid to paint the same flowers after the photo with an "artists" rights to change a little here and there :) I am not very UNsatisfied with it.
I hope you like it.

I loved this the first time I saw it, and I still do. It has an airy quality, an open quality that captures the flowers but also what you must've felt when you painted them. You apply shade with freedom in many spots, as if it was 'thought' on. This is one of the things that give your watercolors such charm. You also do well with the varying shades of green, capturing different intensities as the shadows intensify. It's beautiful. A relaxed, quiet 'reflection' on irises, born of a mood of peaceful contemplation, with the delicacy the flowers deserve. Ana had the same reaction, as did others; and the number of favs shows it too. Beautiful! I'll be no. 12.
