The images I have chosen to show on Renderosity are just a small sample of my 2D vector and 3D CGI artwork. Interested viewers are invited to also visit my personal website: http://www.dcmstarships.com BIO I enjoy creating original designs of speculative starships, space stations, and futuristic architecture. I started out using TrueSpace for 3D modeling and rendering. Now, I use Rhino5 for 3D modeling and rendering. 2D touch up work on my images is done with Corel Draw and Corel Photo-Paint. For backgrounds, I have used Hubble Space Telescope photos, Universe Image Creator, Lunar Cell and various Photoshop tools provided by fellow Renderosity artists. In addition to making my own artwork, I enjoy reviewing the work of other 3D CGI artists, especially those also doing spaceships. I try to support my fellow Renderosity artists by making supportive comments on those images that catch my eye. I like to buy science fiction themed 3D CGI parts and custom photoshop brushes from the Renderosity Marketplace as another way to support my fellow artists.

ah this is so cool. any plans for a cutaway? those, i found, were always the hard part to do on my starships. modelling all the details required a bit more power than i used to have lol.

You might want to try saving in corel as a png file format, I know you can do that in Corel X3 as I have the same software, then perhaps resizing the png and then finally saving as a jpg. But at some point you will have truncated lines just because as you size it smaller, the lines may not be able to be seen in the jpg conversion. But converting the full sized image into png and resizing the png will yield better results than resizing a jpg. Hope this helps David, Laters!

As the guy before me said, try saving as a png, then I'd reopen in another photo ap. I'm pretty sure you won't get those lines using GIMP 2.6, which is what I use, and is free, unless there's something else going on that I don't know about. Just pop it open and save as a jpg, then dial down the quality percentage a couple points (90-95% quality is usually enough to get any image under 500k. I've been able to do that with my images and not have to reduce them in size. I've flicked back and forth between the reduced rez and normal images, and I can't detect any difference.
