Monday is Memorial Day here in the States when we remember our servicemen and women, especially the ones who are gone. Here's a salute to my Dad and all the other veterans past and present, particularly the ones who gave all.
This is his "Eisenhower Jacket" from WWII. Dad landed with the First Army/29th Div. on Omaha Beach on D-Day and then served in the 9th Air Force. He said he wasn't a hero, but just did his job.

Great dedication to your dad Rog. They all say that, but most likely he had no choice and just did his job and was lucky enough to survive. The jacket looks like it has been well taken care of, and that's the way it should be!
