Description

Taken this morning at an Air Show in Livermore, Ca. I believe these to be a B24 Liberator and a P51 Mustang.. please correct me if I'm wrong.. The Mustang was taking off..what are the odds of getting the shot right between the flags on the B24..

Odds were slim to none. You got the slim!!! Nicely done and airplane ID is 100% on the money.

Correct on both. The P-51 looks like an "A" or "B" model--pre-glass bubble canopy (and merlin engine) version when it started life as a dive bomber. Nice capture!

Yup a B-24 and a P-51 could be a A,B or C model.

The odds are quite slim. Cool action shot of the aircraft in different stages of activity. Definitely a very early version of the Mustang.
