SIRENA (Homenaje al poeta uruguayo Mario Benedetti) Sirena Tengo la convicción de que no existes y sin embargo te oigo cada noche te invento a veces con mi vanidad o mi desolación o mi modorra del infinito mar viene su asombro lo escucho como un salmo y pese a todo tan convencido estoy de que no existes que te aguardo en mi sueño para luego. Su abundante producción literaria incluyó más de 80 libros, algunos de los cuales fueron traducidos a más de 20 idiomas. El escritor Mario Benedetti murió y dejó huérfana a la literatura uruguaya y latinoamericana de uno de sus poetas y narradores más prolíficos, venerado por generaciones por su ética social y su melancólico canto a la vida.
