Description
Just a little extra comment the day after Memorial Day. This is more personal. I want to add a special thank you to all of the men and women that served in Viet Nam. Many of them came home to have people calling them murderers among other things, no parades, no thanks, no nothin' and my honey was among them. Here's to them from me! xoxoxoxo's THANK YOUUUUUUUU! (:

Wonderful work. Also, I was team leader of a Vet Center for a while and my oldest client is a Viet Nam Vet. He recently was suprised by flashbacks and struggles with some of the really heavy issues. It is hard to impossible for those who havn't been there to understand what it is like to be caught up in such a horrible situation - it leaves a terrible imprint. To be able to tell one's story, to describe one's images and not to be condemed is so important for healing. I first met my client in 1974, and seen him at different times thorugh out the years. I praised his ability to care for his children and his grand children. I attempt to provide a safe place where he can feel understood. The irony is that many of them witnessed and were scared by watching horrible acts that they were powerless to prevent and then were accused of willing these to happen. I am glad that you can give flowers to your honey in person.

Wonderful tribute and I know alot of people who served there and every one of them came back changed. Now I never wanted to go but I never questioned their bravery or loyalty to this country

All our veterans the served in war torn areas come home traumatized, whether those like your Honey who served in the horrific times of Nam, or those who have come home more recently from Iraq and Afghanistan. War is beastly, no matter where it happens. It brings out the worst and the best in humnity. It would be marvelous if we all learned to get along .. but I don't think that's possible with the human race. Another beautiful and soul felt creation and dedication.
