Description

Common Blue Damselfly (Enallagma cyathigerum) For days I tried to photograph this beauty. Today I got this delicate creature. (Wingspan approx. 4 - 5 cm) wish you a great day! ....many thanks for the nice remarks and favorites on my previous photos!

meine güte meine güte! also die flügel sind ja nun aber wirklich umwerfend, da komm ich aus dem staunen gar nicht mehr raus! durchsichtig wie glas und trotzdem diese feinen strukturen, was ein hübsches kerlchen!

God's wonderful creatures. Scientists have tried to create such creatures artificialy. They succeded to some extent. But the trouble they took to creat the wings so delicate yet to be efficiant, that's when man understands how wonderful these creatures are.

Although I have a pond in the garden, full of fish, the damsel fly does not frequent it as I would like it to. It maybe due to the netting I have covering it, but that I cannot remove because we have quite a few Herons around here. I don't want my fish going the same way as my sisters did, one bird emptied the pond in about ten minutes. Excellent capture, fantastic colour. Bravo!!!!!
