Description

Break-away crevices occur in a thick Paleozoic river deposit of sand (now sandstone) as it is undercut by the present-day Arkansas River, just west of Tulsa. These narrow crevices with sheer walls (up to 50 feet)are a favorite of local rock climbers, and would-be rock climbers. Memorial Day 2009

Nice collage , Me personally I would get five feet off the ground and the fire department would be coming to get me down!

As soon as I got the e-bot I rushed right over... to be honest, I was hoping for the dolls on a dangerous escapade! Still, this is good information. I live in a limestone gorge and I am looking for a way out.

Wonderful perspective on rock climbing, and some awesome drops. LOL I agree with what Peter said. I started grinning, too. I was one of those would be rock climbers. Managed my first sheer cliff only to discover other hikers had found the non-technical route, and actually got there quicker. I also did wonder, what kind of trouble I could have gotten myself into.

Ha, ha. I thought for a moment, you had created a new set of people, but without the armour.

This is cool. I've never been in this area...driven by on the way to Oklahoma City but not much to see on the Interstate:-) Excellent five frame collage.
