Description
I managed to save one shot out of six that I took, we weren't expecting it to fly across the railway tracks but were expecting it to come from the south and fly up the track. On top of that it came about ten minutes early to the advertised time.
The Dakota fly past from the ELR(East Lancs Railway) 1940's weekend 23rd May 2009. They hold one of these every year, this time though they are going for two, another one aimed mainly at the home guard to take place in September.
Thanks for stopping by for a look and for any comments that you care to make.
Not had much time to myself this last week but hope to post some more from the ELR and from the Chester trip that Alan(artaddict2) and I went on, on the Bank holiday Monday 26/05/09.

Lovely clear shot of the markings, its a pity about the wings tip:-(. I think the plane surprised the pigeon too!!

How cool is that, to get the pidgeon in shot. You were telling fibs Jeff, you told me that you had none of the Dakota worth posting, its a cracker and the pidgeon just adds that something else. And Excellent postwork mate!

A perceived lowly pigeon, I'm sure by many, but look at that perfect form and it was done naturally...it nearly puts the plane to shame. Stunning shot.
