Description

Red Whiskered Bulbul nest. Both male and female hatches eggs. It may take two weeks for the eggs to hatch. I will have to wait one more week. I tried to sneak in for a shot the with bird, its too difficult. There went something wrong with their calender, I think so. Its already monsoon. They are supposed to be hatched before monsoon. Other chicks are jumping around in the yard. Another nest was prdatored.

How very sad. The first pigeon I had hatch in my coop was hatched the second week in November when the day temperatures hovered near freezing. That year we had driving rain...icy rain. I found the chick only an hour or so after it hatched...under its mom, but its sibling had already frozen to death under her and this one was almost dead. It did not move and I only noticed it's foot twitch, so I brought it into the house, made an incubator with an old heating pad and towels, and began forcing it to take water made from oatmeal soaking in it. I fed it and touched it for stimlation every 30 minutes through the night and into the next day, and soon it was able to sit up by itself. That bird loved me...his name was Alfred and he went everywhere with me while sitting on my shoulder. He would peck anyone who got to close to me. :-) So when I see a clutch that has been lost like this...I feel great sadness. but your photo is wonderful and I have never seen such eggs as these.
