Description


The Southern Masked-Weaver (Ploceus velatus) is a species if the acacia scrub and woodlands of southern Africa. Like its relative, the Lesser Masked-Weaver, this species weaves its round nest from grass and creates a bottom entrance. This is a male in full breeding colours, and best viewed full size. Now I wouldn't mind a few of these flying around up here in the North Danny, Blue Tits and Great Tits are the most colourful up here. #;0) Superb capture, that eye is spot on the mark. Bravo!!!!!
