There is a word... So follows the storm Controversy just cant agree On how we're supposed to be Faith cuts like a knife... The moon is closer than we think it is... In your mind there was no moon... Just a flashlight playing on a velvet blanket Truth was harder than imagination Did you buy stock in the latest market? I hear down at the dock they're gonna try and lock it It's like seeing it for the last time... How are we supposed to grow? When you spend all your energy, time and money On some way to take you the to the stars... Does it matter what anyone says? Did it ever matter what anybody says? Who do you live for? There is no one to die for You die your dead End of story... Die for nothing you can still choose To make something of those begging bruises Your council of eternal life Feeling bigger than the man... Spend your energy devising new plans To turn those people on their heads Peel them from their tin cans And place a flower in their hands Who cares if those flowers have thorns? Who really cares about anything? Who's shouting to leave my cares behind? You gotta believe in something Or face nothing... Good luck with that! I'm rocking this side of the sun...
