Wow...I took my first photos of these 3 on Sun...it is now Thurs....unbelievable how fast they grow....I had no idea! Thanks for all your comments in the past and future....have a lot more of these 3 to come.

They have a natural camouflage that keeps them blended into the nest doesn't it. Neat photographic progress report. You sound like you are enjoying the trip with these little guys.

They are ready to fly. Excellent- have you kept track of the time from the first egg in the nest to the flight? Two years ago I noted the first egg in the nest on May 27 and the birds left June 22nd

Songbirds have very rapid growth. Its the survival mode and other types of birds do not develop like this. Some eat on their own right away and others must be fed, feathers come in quickly with some and with others it could take 3 weeks or more. Some fly within a week or two and others take 3 months or longer. :-) These are beautiful chicks! Soon they will be testing their wings and off to make their own home for the summer.
