female megarhyssa macrurus. this is a kind of wasp. at first i had no idea what it was. so i looked it up. now they're gone and they left holes in the tree! :) they lay their eggs in trees and the males are super small. wow. well, i think she's beautiful. enjoy!

It's odd but I have found that wasps have many types that are parasitic. I did not know about this type though.
