Description

The lagoon I posted the other day was at Punalu'u** Black Sand Beach (thank you, Errol!!). For a fairly small place, it's full of beauty and wonder. As we left, this turtle graced us with her presence. I was about 20 feet away from her, respected her space. She allowed me to take her foto and I am grateful. do zoom **punalu'u

Great shot Marilyn. Turtles are protected in Hawaii. You are forbidden to get within 15 feet of them. Especially, when they lay their eggs. Aloha

Great shot Marilyn, I'm intrigued by the black sand as much as the turtle!

Nice to see them crawling up on the sand. Saddle up on them....and maybe get a picture of you riding the turtles? lol. Excellent shot. Aloha

Weather beaten look...this is probably a senior turtle looking for a place to cash her Social Security check.

How fortunate to see something like this! The black sand is beautiful (reminds me of my foundry days, buying chromite sand) and it really shows off the turtle. Great shot!
