Previous image: Evening out
My corporeal form lives with my wonderful wife and six eccentric cats in beautiful Sedgefield, but my dreaming body is frequently elsewhere, exploring the fractal universe and marveling at nature's chaos. I love traveling to places that exist only as mathematical constructs on my computer and bringing back snapshots that sometimes remind me of the real world (whatever that means), sometimes of metamagical worlds we can visit only in our imaginations. I trained as a biologist and run a small company specialising in science publishing - writing, editing, illustrating and typesetting. For 3D world building I use Vue, Daz Studio and Poser, but I've also used Bryce since version 2 and done some work with Terragen, Carrara and Groboto. For technical illustration I use mainly Illustrator and Photoshop.
Thanks for visiting my little corner of Renderosity, and to everyone who has kindly commented on my images or added my works as a favourite, thank you for that too. Craig.

This is really terrific, Craig. Everything is in proper proportion and the B/W portrayal is excellent for a nighttime setting. I also like the way the render is vignetted. Very well done, both of you. BTW, Craig, congrats on your 100th upload. Glad to have you sharing your talents with all of us here at RR.

Very enjoyable work-the placement of the characters makes for divided attention, which I believe is thematic of the image.

congratulations to both of you; I'll have to check out VeeSwan's work, as there are many artists here I don't know yet. The semi-monochrome is wonderful, and you both used it very well. The glow around the front-most female, and the light next to the door (on the right) is wonderfully done & adds an eerie presence to the scene. The way you've framed the piece with archways on each end, and stairs leading to some light, adds the sense of playful creepiness to the whole, as does a person sneaking out of the arches on both sides. And the wall's details & shadow dripping down from the top remind us how complex this scene is. A fine hide & seek, playful, and very finely rendered with lots of dark urban detail. (I love that wall.) A fav for both of you. (I'll stop here, but I'll be back. Thanks for visiting my gallery, I loved your enthusiasm and your comments.)
