Love the arts in all their forms: Fine Art, Music, Writing, etc. A traditional painter for many years, my introduction to painting on the computer came in 1999. As time goes by I find myself spending more and more time with my tablet and pen in hand. Guess I could have a worse addiction. Since the begining of 2006 I have immersed myself into the wonderful world of photography. I have learned so much in that time and feel ready to share my stuff with you now. I'm sorry I've been away so long, but stay tuned for a daily flood of my recent captures, :)
BIO
Hello everyone! My name is John Minelli. For as long as I can remember I have had a love of the arts in all of their forms and have been striving to be the be the best that I can be. Even though I have been creating art for many years, I still feel like an infant. I find it fascinating that every time that I pick up a brush, pencil or tablet and pen I still learn something new. Although I live in Savannah, GA, USA., I have a great love of Europe; especially Italy. I spent several years working in the Middle East and took several vacations in Europe. I fell in love with Rome and plan on going back to Italy as soon as possible.

Excellent capture. The solid background really makes this dragon pop.

Very cool! I forget to look up the species when I take dragonfly photos. I gathered shots of three or four different types this past weekend. I may post another soon myself. Good luck on the spoonbills.

I'm kinda glad you did this instead, I had two brothers pass away about five years ago, yesterday would've been my brother Bob's birthday, there's a long story behind the significance of the dragon fly, but this is very apt for me. It's an amazing shot!! would you mind if I shared this with my mom??

This is gorgeous, I was going to ask, but I see Dave has. Both brother funerals the pasture talked about the water bug leaving his friends and family and becoming a beautiful dragonfly. The dragonflies make mom feel better and pick her up.

Another stunning shot here! I guess they can be creepy to some, but if you begin watching them you will learn so much about a beautifully adapted insect, but yeah, they can still look creepy.
