The enigmatic John Lee is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, citizen living in the Nashville area. He may even be the most powerful. Even though he agreed to be a teacher to Joe, Nashville's were-cougar protector, Lee maintains his neutrality among the factions warring for control of the city. His lakeside estate is even a sanctuary and neutral meeting place for the paranormal creatures in the area. His only concern is that a balance be maintained, and his actions are inspired by a morality few understand. Lee maintains this balance with his many talents, not the least of which is the ability to shapeshift into a twenty foot long dragon. Not much is known about John Lee, including his real age or even if John Lee is his real name. From the stories he tells, Lee may be thousands of years old, and little is known of the were-dragons (a race rumored to be very nearly immortal).
