Description

This image evolved a lot. The original idea was to have ruins in a forest. I thought the ruins didn’t look rough enough, so I replaced them with something that looked more like natural stone. Then, I removed the trees temporarily so I could work on the sky. I then saw that I preferred it with no trees, so I made it into a beach scene. The horizon seemed a bit too empty to me then so I first added and island which I replaced with a sail boat. I didn’t like that either. After a quick inspiration from the statue scene in the TV show “Lost”, I thought I’d try a statue. The first one was too serious, so I put the funny lizard guy statue in. I added the guy in the foreground to acknowledge the statue, but he wasn’t enough, so I added the woman. Lastly I decided there wasn’t enough red in the picture, so I changed the color of the dress from white to a sort of grayed down red. Daniel P.S. excellent image, I often go through multiple versions before settling on a final one. That's one of the things I love about working digital, you can just keep throwing things at it until it works for you
