on a sad note
I lost my older dog yesterday morning.when I went out she could not stand.after an hour she was no better so I carried her to the car and took her to the vet to euthanize her.I hated to do it but I was expecting for the past 2-3 years she may not make it.when I took her and the other dog for a walk she would be panting so heavy. she was such a sweet dog.she was a pit lab mix.I took her in as a puppy from the street.she was outside my garage on night sleeping and the forecast was for freezing temps, so I let her in with my former two other dogs all dead.since I have lived in my house 10-85, I have had six dogs.I am looking in shelters for a new companion to my Shepard mix.maybe today I will find one

An over-whelming cloudscape vista. Beautiful. I'm sorry to hear of your pet passing. Personally, I wish our pets would live as long as we humans do, but alas, that's not the way it goes.

Beautiful capture and cloud formation, Richard. Sad to hear ole Lucky ran out of luck. But when they can get up or walk anymore.. time is up... wether we like it or not. So you did what was best for Lucky... respect for that. It is extremely difficult to say goodbye after so many years together. Takes a long time to get over...Hope you get a new pal for Eve, to play with. Condolences from Denmark.+5

I don't know what I'd be like if anything happened to my Zackie Richard. I'm so sorry this has happened to you, but how sensitive you are to consider his welfare and make the extreme sacrifice. I'm sure you will have fond memories of your friend and your new chum will be supportive toward you. Steve ;o)

Even the sky is in mourning. Sigh. Such sad news. My eyes are welling up with tears.
