Description

Vanity (evil) vs. Humility (good) Society has a way of making out the beautiful, well-dressed and well-versed people as the "good guys" and those who dress and act eccentrically as the "bad guys". Generally, it is the opposite...the vanity in the "good guys" prevent them from caring about anything but themselves and the more eccentric people tend to go out of their way to help. The vain attempt to destroy what the humble help to make better. If we all tap in to that humility, the world would be a far better place to live. Created for the Bring Your Vision To Life: Good Vs. Evil contest at deviantART last month. Didn't make the semi-finals...so finally get to post it here. :) Zoom in for full size.

Very nice work! In this instance, it is easy to see who is 'good' and who is 'bad' Sometimes though it is a lot harder Well done on the interpretations

I like the way you portray one of the seven sins against one of the seven virtues... excellent!

Lovely image and I agree in general with your thought, though would add I think it is more that the "bad" seeks to emulate and endear themselves to the good for the purpose of confusing and deceiving and taking advantage of others, where as the contrast is the truly good are not caught up in trying to put on a show of their goodness, they actually do, and do not pretend to do, good things for more unselfish reasons. However, others often see only that one looks very like another because they have not learned to look beyond the window dressing to see what is really going on inside the person, to know if there is good or bad going on within. IMO. :O)
