My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Ah, Tara, this is so beautiful, thank you so very much. Truly it's astonishing to see these petals on the ground~~~I wanted to rake them up and take them home.

well you captured marilyn's picture beautifully. And (again) you understand the stanza, you know how it breathes, you know how to put feelings into each little grouping, etc. And you use rhyme well too, and alliterative techniques (creation/occasion, mousse/dress/slippers [S's])...and you get the feeling of a flower who doesn't seem to reach out to heaven, but which creates its own heaven right here, stars on the ground, lights in our path. Beautiful. I'll be back for more next time...but it was a pleasure to actually walk here again! This was a wonderful piece.

WOW! This is nicely moving and superbly elegant. You've captured so much in this, whether it's inspiration from Marilyn, or a lyrical and beautifully-phrased ode to Nature's grandeur, or simply a Northern eye observing something exotic. It's all of those things and a lot more and it's incredibly touching and emotionally astute. It's funny because I'm reading Love by Toni Morrison, though I'm quite anxious to purchase and devour A Mercy Morrison's latest. I've been swimming in lucid and rich prose, and reading this is a wonderful compliment to the phrases drifting through my mind now. This is fantastic.
