Description

Found this old house nestled in the trees a couple of weeks ago. Liked the setting and again with these old places my imagination runs wild and I see children playing and the old folks setting under the big old shade tree or playing a rousing game of horse shoes with loud belly laughs when Dads throw knocked uncle Billy’s horse shoe away from the peg to win the point. The ladies setting a table outside with fried chicken and all the fixins. Apple pies cooling in the window the wonderful aroma feeling the country side and grandma standing guard to keep me, opps I mean the kids out of them, smile. A lazy old hound dog lying at Grandpas feet dreaming of the good old days and the big hunts they used to go on before they had both got to old to roam the rolling hills out behind the old house. Ok enough of my imagination. Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you care to leave.

Great image. It's by no means a blank book, but without more actual details it kind of does serve as one. I imagine it as a place for 'the help' to stay. If they're working all the time, they don't need much more than a place to maybe fix rice and beans, and sleep. A lot of people used to cram into a space this size.

Stellar effects in this capture. I conjure up images of a grizzled old lady in front sitting in a rocking chair with a shotgun lying across her lap. The photo reminds me so much of several pictures taken during the Civil War.

Classic shot. You almost painted a picture with your words. Why don't you try it with a brush and paint?
