Description

My take on the same chaser that JeffG7BRJ has uploaded today, I was fortunate enough to be stood in a closer position and head on for this one but still approx 2-3ft.from this fast critter. We had a walk around the pond, lots of Damselflies most of which were mating and laying eggs, images to follow! These Chasers were very very fast three males looked like they were fighting for the golden coloured female (even more difficult to catch a focussed shot, she never landed but hovered for a while and laid some eggs). I nearly dropped my camera lol when this fellow finally came rest. I fired off 173 shots this day, I have only maybe 6 or 7 worth uploading lol but I always heed good advice that you must take as many as possible of nature and you will almost certainly get some good shots eventually! A much cleare tail than mine Alan and better colour tones too, I had to have a rather high ISO(400) to get a decent shutter speed using the 70-300 Zoom. Excellent capture and a great pov. Bravo!!!!! Two days to go!

And let me take a wild stab in the dark, you were just to the left of Jeff lol, just kidding mate but the POV suggests it I'll at least get my stake back :),,,Fantastic capture Al, did you manage to get one by the ears?...lol!
