Description
The badge was found on the sand in Juno Beach by a friend of mine (nowadays a Carabinieri's colonel) who gave it to me as a gift.
I think it's a Canadian Royal Artillery badge.
Well, I'm posting this picture just to remember the D-Day and the liberation of Europe.

This is awesome. My late uncle was a paratrooper on D Day. He got his leg riddled with bullets and it had to amputated. He never let it bother him and I think the only thing he missed was dancing

(the several ebots are because my server's sputtering, and I lost the connection 4 times! Sorry!) A stunning find, I'm amazed that such things still exist after so many years. If I found an artifact from one of the D-Day invasions, I'd be stunned, because of the immense connection it has to history. A very fitting upload for the day. From the several people I've known in militaries around the world, I know that the motto means something like, "Everyplace, where might and glory lead..." It has a cannon on it with a big wheel (very nicely designed badge). And you blended some images of battle into the image. Nice image, Flavia. My uncle fought in WWII, was in Anzio and France (in the underground) and even liberated some of the concentration camps. The stories are astonishing...Fine commemoration, and it's amazing that a friend of yours found this: I guess there still are things like this on the beaches of WWII. I'd have thought they'd have either been taken, or fallen into the sea by now...
