Description

Hi all, This image is inspired by watching probably way to much to the National Geographic Channel on TV :-) The cave model (inclusive the rocks) is created in Hexagon. It is a VERY BIG cave model but you only see a tiny bit of it here. The roots are just trees placed upside down and the two Poser figs are 2x James with different poses and a different t-shirt color. Render time was 8h39"03' with Advanced effects quality set to 50%, Light Quality boost +2, Sky/Fog/Haze Quality Boost +2 and was rendered in Spectral Model with Global Radiosity....and still there is grain visible in the rays... Some level adjustment in Photoshop. Hope you like it :-) Thanks for looking and feel free to c&c Wim :-)

Very good scene. Regarding the grain, since the light source is probably a spot light you can't get rid of it by increasing quality of the atmosphere settings, it will simply have no effect because it's not an atmospheric element. Instead, you have to increase the quality of the spot light itself. Double click the light source and in the Volumetrics tab increase the quality boost.
