Yes, it's true. On the internet, I'm a rather dull, mild-mannered digital artist, but in real life, I am actually Superfrog.
"Faster than a speeding dragonfly, stronger than a flathead catfish. Able to leap ten hungry alligators in a single bound. Look! Out in the swamp! It's a bird. It's a boat. It's Superfrog!"

For me, ideas are like butterflies that are flittering around by the dozens. Just grab one and render it, then move on to the next.
BIO:
I began 3D art with Bryce 3 in April 1999. Before that I played with various 2D styles and techniques. Back in the mid-70's and 80's, I worked in metal sculpture and had a line of "frog prints" selling in stores all over Southern California and Arizona. I have been in art in some capacity since childhood. Since the computer came along, I 've pr3etty much lost touch with brushes, pens and pencils which I regret.

I hope so too. Normandy day.

Nicely done and said...I am fortunate enough to have grandparents who are WWII veterans. Their stories will be passed on and I too hope they are not forgotten.

Beautiful image and tribute, to those that should never be forgotten.

Great tribute to those folks. I'm afraid it will all be forgotten within the next generation. Humankind has never learned from its history so it is not a matter of this generations failings. We are reaching a time when now the Vietnam era military is beginning to pass away. Lessons learned there will also be forgotten. Thanks for the reminder in this "off" year.

interesting technique on this one, looks almost like watercolor. don't know about how it will be remembered, but i'm sure it will be remembered where i'm from.

An excellent reflective pose. Oh, I'm sure we will annually hear the refrain, "We Will Remember Them", and dutifully wear our poppies. But, sadly what you won't hear is, "We will learn from them". Because we never will.

Very touching...and I still commemorate annually, WWl as my Dad was in that one...even fewer of those brave souls left but we celebrated on 'old soldier' here who was 105 and still all there...he was beaming with pride at the fact that folks who weren't even a twinkle when they made their sacrifice actually remembered.. ...

I agree with you, I'm afraid that with their passing, all accurate accounts will diminish with them. History books have a tendency to be rewritten. This is a great tribute to a near gone generation of hero's, were it not for them, this world as we know it would be a very different place, and definitely not one for the better! Thank you for sharing and reminding us!

Beautiful dedication.....and the stories behind those old faces will not be told anymore....that is if they were ever told.... The old man looks lonely....and a bit bitter....

No, they won't remember any more than they remembered the struggles of the unions to protect the little guy during the past ten years while Bush and his cronies stripped all of those hard-won protections from the common people. I taught 8th graders in the late 1970s, but even then most only knew about the Vietnam war. Some had some sense of WWII. None seemed to know anything about the Korean War. Sadly we are losing my parent's generation and the nation and the world will be the poorer for their passing.

Wonderful tribute, frog! You know what they say... those that don't, are destined!
